Position at Structure Tone Southwest

The Low Voltage Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations of low voltage systems installation at job sites. This includes scheduling, production, procurement of materials, manpower, equipment, quality, and safety. The role involves supervising all direct labor positions on the assigned project and managing any contracted work to ensure successful project completion.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Project Scheduling and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate project schedules and reports describing project status.
  • Field Coordination and Supervision: Ensure timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted workforces for low voltage system installation projects.
  • Client and Project Manager Liaison: Regularly review project status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives. Large projects may involve coordinating with multiple Superintendents.
  • Safety Standards Enforcement: Implement and adhere to safety standards and requirements for craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
  • Subcontractor Management: Direct subcontractor activities within commercial fit-outs for interior projects.
  • Resource Analysis and Coordination: Analyze manpower, material, and equipment requirements, interfacing with other designated personnel as needed.
  • Policy and Procedure Implementation: Enforce policies, procedures, and work rules as established by field construction management.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare reports and forecasts as required, keeping supervisors informed on the progress of overall assigned activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure safety standards are adhered to by craftsmen and others in the operational area, ensuring tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
  • Engineering and Construction Methods: Combine knowledge of engineering methods, construction methods, and human management skills to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred
  • Experience: 10 years of General Contractor experience preferred; will consider candidates with substantial subcontractor experience. Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in low voltage mission-critical projects with knowledge of building power distribution.
  • Data Center experience is highly preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Project Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Skills: Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.
